Sharon’s young daughter, Carrie, was impatient and irritable, scratching at her sores from the hand-foot-and-mouth disease (HFMD).
She couldn’t placate nor console Carrie as she had to return to the office.
Feeling guilty, she left a post-it note and a small toy by Carrie’s bed.
As she arrived at her destination, she received a video message.
Carrie had recorded a video of herself playing with all the toys she had received in the past, including the most recent one.
Tears welled in her eyes when she realised that she had a far more important job to complete, and couldn’t simply wash her hands of it this time.
She was back home. And this time, she had a better present.
