Parents can plan and provide, but true character is found when they try to get through rainy days with a smile on their face.
God knows they try their darndest best, even when they don’t have much to give.
In this short film, a widowed father raises his son in very humble circumstances in 1980s Singapore. He doesn’t have much, but he dedicates all he has to his son and wife: through his education, adult life, and marriage.
Now that the young son now has a family of his own he belatedly realises how much his father gave up to provide for him: food, shelter, warmth, and protection.
But the legacy he left behind was one of dedication and love.
