In this short film, a young couple from China try to build a perfect home in Singapore. Like pandas, they have to adjust, adapt, and overcome their emotional attachments to home.
They both try to find means to stay in Singapore.

But now unemployed and desperate for a job, he auditions for a job at the zoo as a panda mascot.
‘That Afternoon We Went To See The Pandas’ was screened at the Clermont-Ferrand International Short Film Festival and the Short Shorts Film Festival.
It was inspired by a short story by Liang Wern Fook. The film was produced for Utter, an initiative by Singapore Writers Festival that celebrates Singaporean literature adapted into other art forms.
