Desperation and loneliness can drive a man to dark decisions. A large tree in the village is important to Yati’s father: it’s where he first met his beloved late wife.
Once a shelter of happy memories, the tree is now a fitting place for his frequent suicide ideation.
While Yati was away, Samad made it his daily duty to prevent her father’s suicide. Throughout his dutiful vigilance, Yati never even returned his calls.
Still, Samad persisted — until the day arrived where he couldn’t keep up the effort.
Upon her father’s suicide, a grieving Yati finally returns to their village. By the tree where her parents met, she falls into Samad’s embrace. If she needs a saviour, Samad is willing. And his schedule is open, like his arms. Waiting to be filled by Yati.
