Chinese New Year Is A Time For Family, But For Many, Home Is Far Away



When would he get it? It had been 6 months, and yet Ah Biao continued to make one silly mistakes after another.

It did nothing to instil confidence in Mr Tan. Especially worrisome given that this same man would be in charge of his shop while he left for his annual Chinese New Year break with this family.


His neighbour reminded him that Ah Biao was trying his hardest. It’s not easy being in a foreign land that speaks a language you don’t know. The closest thing you have to family are the pictures of loved ones on the wall.


On the eve of the biggest celebration in the Lunar calendar, Mr Tan gets a reminder about faith.


It’s a lesson that puts his heart at ease and a smile on Ah Biao’s face.
