There’s something unsettlingly cheery about the doctor’s household, considering the world is currently at war, and almost everyone in town is dead.
Everything is so prim, so proper. The doctor’s wife is serving him tea and making small talk, when what he really needs right now is some urgent medical attention.
“The doctor is currently tied up,” she says, but the longer he waits, the more he gets the feeling that he really doesn’t want to know how the doctor is providing for his family.
‘The Provider’ won the Grand Prize for Overall Best Film at Bloodshots Canada 48 Hour Filmmaking Competition. It has also been screened at Cannes Film Festival, Cinéfest Sudbury International Film Festival, and Vancouver International Film Festival.
