There’s no way we can rival ‘Shit Clients Say’ on Tumblr, but we have a great selection of reaction gifs for when they say the most illogical and irrational!

This was inspired from the mockumentary ‘Get Social’ on Viddsee, a web-series about four twenty-somethings at the social media agency ROFL.

Yup. That sets the tone! Enjoy!

“DON’T BULLSHIT A BULLSHITTER” & OTHER SHIT CLIENTS SAY!

#1 – I’VE BEEN IN THIS BUSINESS SINCE YOU WERE IN YOUR DIAPERS – Nobody likes ageist insults. But there’s no comeback that is worth anyone’s while.

It’s downright insulting (Episode 2), but this came from ROFL’s first client. And frankly, they need the money!

#2 – DON’T BULLSHIT A BULLSHITER – The key in bullshitting is to be as oblique as possible and to be strategic about bullshitting. Clients often think they know what they want, and sometimes, they do.

It’s best to not bullshit them. Of you’ll have to swallow your pride. Or that snort.

#3 – UNICORNS! – In-house consultants are hell. They sometimes have their ideas about what works, and sometimes these are called ‘unicorns.’

Soo Ling (Oon Shu An), ROFL’s social media strategist, gets a dose of that in Episode 8.

#4 – A UNICORN WITHOUT A HORN IS A HORSE – Once you choose to engage in a unicorn logic, it’s a slippery slide down the chasm of that hell.

Unicorns & Horses Episode 8

Fen Fen (Lim Peifen) is a fashion blogger / part-time model engaged to consult ROFL for a project by a multi-million dollar beauty & cosmetics brand.

#5 – $40,000? – It’s uncommon for a client to double a fee at the negotiation table, but Victoria (Amy Cheng) did exactly that. After a ping-pong exchange of figures, ROFL realise that Victoria’s project isn’t just about the business.

Victoria is Soo Ling’s mother, and also the owner of a multinational women’s beauty company. In Episode 7, she engages ROFL on the condition that she works exclusively with… her daughter. We won’t spoil it for you!

We had a lot of fun putting this together! If you enjoyed DON’T BULLSHIT A BULLSHITTER & MORE SHIT CLIENTS SAY, you’d definitely enjoy what inspired it — the 20-episode web series Get Social, starring George Young, Shane Mardjuki, Vanessa Vanderstraaten & Oon Shu An.

Here’s an introduction to the series, a character guide, a backgrounder on ROFL’s work culture, and extreme tips on staging an office showdown!
