Cheng-Chi was the type of teacher that would be a regular shoe-in for ‘Favourite Teacher’ in the annual yearbook. The art teacher was cherished by his students, particularly Yi-Chieh.
The two had a bond that extended outside of school hours as the teacher nurtured Yi-Chieh’s natural curiosity, helping the boy figure out an anniversary present for Pei-Hsuan, the young teen’s girlfriend and answering his questions about life.
Yi-Chieh begins to realise a blossoming within. It’s a feeling that’s threatened by the departure of Cheng-Chi for France. The truth is hard to swallow for both of them, but this student learns from his teacher’s mistake and fears.
His is a voice that will not live in denial.
