Chun Zi cared for her husband’s every needs, but it was a test of patience. He had dementia, and his behaviour was unpredictable.
She knew he had a sweet spot for ice cream, and decides to indulge him to convince him to take his medication for the afternoon. She didn’t have much time, as there was a community singing event she had to attend.
But her husband was no where to be seen when she returned.
Panicking, she combed through the village, searching for him.
In their golden years, and in the warm summer sun, the cup of ice cream had melted into a warm, sticky and sweet mess. So was their love for each other.
