A young boy, lost in the woods, stumbles upon a lone wolf. They could both perish in the cold. He could freeze to death before his parents find him; she’s injured and would very likely bleed bleed to death.
She makes an unusual pact with the young boy.
Hers is a desperate plea for survival, a fair bargain that he accepted.
It was a necessary sacrifice for her young. There will be blood on his hands. But she, too, knows a parent’s instinct is as an animal parent would.
