In the forest, they look for a friend.
Seasons don’t change when they are alone, but when they see each other summer turns to winter. Leaves get frozen. Snow dissolves. Life becomes death. They want to be together, but nature dictates they cannot.
The boy brings coldness with him, the girl warmth. When her dog dies freezing, she sees it come back to life, cold, and without any fur. There are only bones.
The boy only wants to help her, wants to become her friend. But he realizes that friends protect each other. Friendship is making compromises. He walks away.
