First impressions count, and William made an impression with a fellow pool mate. He didn’t say a word, they exchanged glances, he chased after him in the other lane.
William didn’t reciprocate, but later at home he found a note and a lone shoe.
He followed the cues to a local club, but he was reminded about a recent accident that caused much suffering.
He was ready to back out, move on.
But Thomas, the giver of the note, wanted a second chance. Second chances didn’t come easy, but first, William had to give himself one.
