All women above childbearing age were kept in concentration camps as a population-control effort in this post-apocalyptic world. Their living conditions were inhuman.
Here, Salvi survived a coup, escaped, and fled the area, wandering undetected as she disguised herself as a boy.
Her sister was still in the concentration camp and Salvi needed to get to her. She’s encounters another young girl, being attacked and bullied by thugs.
She really shouldn’t stop, nor should she risk revealing her true identity…
‘Salvi’ won first place at the Sineng Pambansa Iloilo International Film Festival. It was later developed into a full-length feature film and released in cinemas in 2013.
