From the onset: she appears to be a well-dressed, young lady. She carries herself well, exuding a confidence and charisma that would turn men’s heads.
A therapist, she goes by the name of Dr. Alex. But behind that facade is a shocking dualism that threatens to upset even the strongest of men.
Alex, the perpetrator: A keen listener who empathizes with her patient, an alleged rapist. When he converses, she briefly empathizes with his notion that society is heavily sympathetic towards women.
Alex, the victim: Vulnerable on the inside, Alex works hard to battle demons of her own. She doesn’t unveil herself until the end of the film.
The crux of the film comes when the therapist proposes a controversial idea: she too has committed “psychological rape” by probing into her patient’s mind.
Through this violation, Alex the therapist transforms into Alex The Rapist…
