Tired of living in a desolate scrap yard and isolated from the outside world, Ruby climbed up her dad’s pickup truck and sneaked off to town.
There, she spies a group of boys cruelly abusing a cat, each taking a shot at the poor animal. She couldn’t help herself. She didn’t even have to say a word. She looked at the cruelty in the eye, and then she crashed the car.
She saved a cat, but the bullies came back for her.
First, they took her dog. Then, they took down her dad. She’s forced to take on the town bullies with the thing she fears most – herself.
But she couldn’t save everything.
