There was no respite for this busy mother.
She narrowly missed her son’s school assembly and work deadlines and had to decline her family’s Mid-Autumn dinner.
But she changed her mind when she checked the missed calls at the end of the day. Arriving at her family’s beautifully-lit lawn, she took in the evening’s breeze, chatter and joyous peals of laughter.
Just when she could catch her breath, she was interrupted again.
She had to excuse herself to attend to another deadline, cutting a forlorn figure in the living room, hunched over a laptop.
Her parents knew that their daughter was weary, and knew just the comforts to provide to help her tiredness melt away.
Their daughter remembered to attend to everything, except to take care of herself.
