If Jiu Jiu’s life were a colour, it would be the colour beige; inoffensive and muted. She had her parakeet and little shop in the day and her jigsaw puzzles at night. Life was fine.
It wasn’t scandalous, especially when compared to the wild dating tales of her best friend. But it was constant, and she was content.
She may have resigned herself to a solitary life, but fate had other plans for her.
It begins with a knock on her shop window by a familiar stranger.
She thought she had missed her chance for love. But some people are just always fated to meet.
