She has to go. She’s off to find herself. She’ll never be the same again, even if she returns.
They were complete together. They were enough. But suddenly their love wasn’t enough for her. She took a photograph, she took her heart, but not her love.
And so begins the slow burn of grief, a realisation that her lover’s need for release will be a hole, an emptiness.
Their happiness is now the past, but she will let it go.
