Alex and Olive are close friends and classmates in a Catholic all-girls high school.
They are also cast as lovers in the school play.
Life imitates art, and a romance begins to blossom offstage.
But Olive fears the attraction being noticed by family and friends offstage.
Her elder sister Rose worries people will disapprove and call what they’re doing a sin.
Under pressure, Olive begins to dodge Alex’s affections. But the two still meet onstage as destined loves.
If this continues in real life, their family and religion will disapprove. Will Olive have the courage to be true to herself?
