Being ‘Unfriended’ Is Harsh. It Sucks Even More For This Schoolkid

They Don't Like Me SS1

Bullying sucks. Being ‘unfriended’ sucks. That is as true in the schoolyard as how we experience it today on social media.

In this short film, this eight year old realises that his life has changed when his father remarries: his diet, a small change in his name, attending new language classes, observing prayer times.

It turns out that his new mum is of another religion and race, which possibly meant his father had to convert.

Although his friends start shunning him, he remains strong and optimistic, in the childlike knowledge and wisdom that only eight year olds still have.
