Silas is 11 years old, and he lives with his mum, who works out of home servicing men around the clock.
His mum is not inattentive, but the nature of her business takes up her time. Many men entering and exiting the house. Nobody stays; Silas has no father figure.
One client who stayed for a bite after told Silas that men take what they want, and they do as they please. On TV, he sees nature documentaries that say that the dominant male asserts its right to mate.
Mum offered vague answers of her own. But when Silas saw a man take his mum, not in a pleasant way, he took a stab at it.
Way to carve his way into manhood.
