Sun-il is exhausted. He’s at his mother’s wake alone, and he wakes up at the arrival of a man who wanted to pay his respects.
He observes all rituals, but refused to name himself. Sun-il tries to get some answers from the bucket-hat man, but he’s interrupted when his friends arrive.
The mystery man overhears the conversation among his friends, about Sun-il’s father. And then dares to laugh.
In his exhaustion and delirium, Sun-il loses it and throws the man out. The wake turns into chaos.
It all happens in one night, but it seems like a night that was a lifetime in waiting.
‘A Night Journey’ screened at the Puchon International Fantastic Film Festival in Korea.
