“A five-second shot takes six to seven hours to animate” — Jerrold

“I feel that no two people are exactly alike in personality, and even though we become close to certain people due to our similarities, we would soon learn and have to adapt to the differences.

“It is this adaptation and commitment to differences that makes relationships so precious.”

We’re not in the habit of dropping two idioms in a day, but “being connected at the hip” is quite literal in here.

Here’s what Los Angeles-based Jerrold says about his fascination with Abigail and Brittany’s very intimate relationship, “where the desire for separation is as pertinent as the desire for intimacy.”

‘Nascent’ was developed over nine months: concept, set design, puppet construction, animatics, and post production.

The painstaking attention to detail is pure dedication.

Jerrold is pursuing his BFA in Animation at California Institute of the Arts (CalArts).

‘Nascent’ was selected for the following festivals: StopTrik International Film Festival, Glovebox Short Film & Animation Festival, Anibar International Animation Festival, Thurrock International Film Festival, Singapore Short Cuts and the 16th Digicon 6 Asia.
